GAT Shield browsing allows admins to view all sites their users are browsing.

On the left-hand side select the Browsing tab
Starting at the top there are few tabs associated with Browsing
- Data explorer
- User/Chrome Device activity
- User Summary
- Chrome Device Summary
In it, you can click on the ‘load more data‘ button to look further into the history of your users’ browsing activity.
These pie charts show you the time on sites by users, site views by user, time on sites by site, and the site views by the site.
The view under the pie charts will show what site URLs were recently visited.
The Site name and full URL link, start and finish time, and overall time on site spent, alongside the user email who is browsing and tags associated with it.
Note: Tags can be added – select Browsing tags from the left-hand side menu under Configuration
A filter can be applied for each of the values tags, site URLs, users, and many more.
The charts will be adjusted according to the filters applied
The result of the filters applied as well as the pie charts can be exported into CSV or PNG files.
User/Chrome Device activity
This will allows us to filter the browsing activity per User or Chrome device.
By default, this tab will show the activity of the Admin using the tool.
Pick a time and scope to find the data you need.
Filter by date to see the time of browsing, under scope pick a user email address or device serial number then click refresh to filter the selection.
The result will show the overall browsing activity of the user or chrome device.
Click on Show details to view exact pages visited and how long time was spent on them.
The overall browsing activity will show the time when user login (first recorded activity since the user logged in to their account).
If the user has been using different devices to log in and browse it will be displayed as different graph views.
The Pie chart on the right side shows a list of all the pages visited by the user.
Under show details, we can see an even further division of the browsing, we can see how long the user spent on each of the sites visited.
The example above shows the time spent on Gmail (mail.google.com) at 2.5 hours and time spent in gatlabs.com 49.3 minutes, shown in the timeline of when this activity has happened.
This will display a summary of the browsing by the scope of users and the time range.
Under the time range, you can select different time frames such as the last day, last 7 days, last 28 days, and a custom range.
Under the scope, you can select domain, org.unit, user group, classroom, and user.
Scrolling down will display 3 different charts.
Top Users (based on the scope selected), Top sites browsed by users, and top tags browser by users.
Select Show details to view individual users based on on a group by site or group by tag
Chrome Device summary
This will show the browsing activity based on Chrome devices.
Under the scope, you can select:
- All enrolled devices
- Device organization unit
- Device serial no.
- Device annotated location.
Below that it will be a graph view for Total devices time on sites
Scrolling further down will display pie charts for Top devices, Top users on Devices, Top sites browsed on devices, Top tags browsed on devices.
Under Show details, additional info will be displayed based on devices’ time on sites or tags.
