However, instead of punishing the student and revoking digital permissions, use this as a teachable moment.\n\nFor example, allow the student to delete the comments posted and reflect on their behavior by creating a video to improve their online interactions.\n\n<\/span>\n\n It\u2019s also always nice to include your students in these expectations from the start. That way, they\u2019ll become a lot more meaningful for them.\u00a0<\/span>\n\n\n\n\"Google\n\nWe recommend writing your digital expectations using words like \u201cplease\u2019, \u201cyes\u201d, and\u00a0 \u201cand\u201d. Stay away from negative words such as \u201cno\u201d, \u201cbut\u201d, and \u201cdo not\u201d. <\/span> This helps students feel more comfortable in your class and connect with you better.<\/span>\n
