GAT+ allows admins to Change Google license assignments.
This can be achieved simply by using GAT Flow
In GAT+ from the menu on the left click on the GAT+ icon and then Flow
When Flow launched click on Create workflow
In Workflow type
- Enter the name of the workflow
- Select the workflow type you need: OnBoard, OffBoard, Modify
Click on Next to proceed.
Under Search for a user select any users you need.
They can be added individually, via group or org.unit.
When users are selected click on Proceed to actions
Actions – Google Vault
Under Choose Actions on the menu on the left scroll down to Devices or search for Change Google license assignment option
When this option is selected – it will be displayed on the right side.
Fill in the details:
- Type – Select to Add or Remove
- Product – Select Google Vault
- SKU – Select the option you need.

When ready click on Send approval request – under the menu on the left
The workflow will be submitted for approval.
The Security officer will receive an email notification for approval.
When approved, the action of Assigning a Google Vault license to the select user will take effect.
The Google Vault license will be assigned to the user
Note: If there is no Vault license available, there will be appropriate message.
In Workflow – click on the “eye” icon for additional logs and information.
