GAT+ allows an Admin to remove all Google Drive internal Shares to specific files in bulk.
To remove all internal permissions in bulk or only specific users you need to run the Remove permission operation in GAT+.
Find the files
In GAT+ click on Drive audit.
Apply filter and search for the files you want to remove specific Internal users or all Internal users in bulk.
- Find all files: Open to specific internal user(s)
- Search for: Sharing flags contains specific internal user(s)
When the result of the search needed is found, select the files you want to “edit”, by clicking on the checkmark beside the File
Click on the File operation button then select Remove permissions.
A new pop-up window will be displayed.
Select the Internal tab and options will be displayed:
In the field enter the email of the specific user you want to remove share to.
When ready with the section and options, click on Send request
Note: This action will NOT require approval by Security Officer.
As a result, from the actions above the Internal Shares will be removed, whether it was only one internal user removed or all internal users in bulk
