Block pornographic images #
In GAT Shield, we have developed and incorporated a new security feature for any Shield user called Porn Blocking.
This allows the Admin of the Domain to Block Pornographic Images from being displayed to the end-users.
How did it work? #
It is an AI-based porn blocking module, that works by examining images in real-time.
This is a BETA release of an AI-based porn blocking module that is being offered on trial only without support.
It is, particularly aimed at the education sector and is designed to complement GAT Shield porn site URL filtering and GAT Shield Google safe search mode.
It should catch most pornographic images delivered as part of websites missed by other filtering techniques.
Enable porn blocking #
Navigate to Shield → Configuration → Porn Blocking
Fill in the details required
- Blocking enabled – enable or disable by using the checkmark button
- Filter strictness – set the value of strictness 1 is the least strict and 100 the most strict filter
- Scope – set up the scope of users, groups, or org. unit
- If no recipients are specific all domain users are affected. If any value is specified, any user who meets the criteria is affected
- Save – click to save the rule
Result #
When Porn Blocking is enabled, the images should be processed in real-time and if “pornography images” detected, they simply will not be displayed.
The end-users will not be notified visually if the images however contain some “pornographic images” that will not be shown as the result of the user search.
This is a complementing URL filtering and Safe search mode.
