With this tool, teachers can ensure that students stay on track and follow along with the subject being taught. Having the ability to track student engagement in real-time is a big asset for teachers, Google Workspace Super admins, and Principals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Functionality that teachers have:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monitor the current screen of all students in their classrooms.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">View all of the tabs on students\u2019 Chrome Browser.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Close browser tabs that are irrelevant for students.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">View the browser history during the active session.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Distribute a website to automatically open and display on some or all students&#8217; screens.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To block a website from being used while class is in session.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Super Admins, principals, or teachers can create a group of students whose behavior is alarming. The group can be monitored and controlled with the same abilities above.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Who can access the Teacher Assist tool?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Google Super Admins<\/strong> &#8211; By default all Google Workspace <strong>Super Admins<\/strong> have access to Teacher Assist.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Teachers of Google Classrooms<\/strong> &#8211; By default all users of the Google domain are <strong>assigned as Classroom Teachers.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Login to Chrome<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> For <strong>Teacher Assist to work<\/strong> &#8211; List of the previous classroom or group sessions which can be viewed to see the session summary<\/li>\n<li><b>Most Blocked Websites\u00a0<\/b>&#8211; List of the most blocked websites for students<\/li>\n<li><strong>Most Absent Reasons\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; List of the most used absent reasons<\/li>\n<li><strong>Teachers with Most Sessions\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; Lists the teachers with the most sessions done<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As well as some general statistics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sessions <\/strong>&#8211; Number of sessions during the date frame given.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Live Sessions <\/strong>&#8211; Number of sessions currently live.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Google Classrooms<\/strong> &#8211; Current number of Google Classrooms<\/li>\n<li><strong>Teacher Assist Classrooms<\/strong> &#8211; Download a PDF report for the selected classroom session.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Email<\/strong> <strong>report<\/strong> &#8211; Send an Email with the PDF attached report to selected users.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Attendances <\/strong>&#8211; opens a new tab for the selected student with the URL entered<\/li>\n<li><strong>Open the current page for others<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; opens the page the selected student has and distributes it to all other active students<\/li>\n<li><strong>Website Collections\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; allows you to pull a block\/allow list from another available collection<\/li>\n<li><strong>Close All Tabs<\/strong> &#8211; \u00a0reset all student\u2019s tabs<\/li>\n<li><strong>NOTE: Block current page<\/strong> &#8211; blocks the <strong>current<\/strong> <strong>page for ALL Students &#8211;<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>This will not prevent pages from being opened in the future &#8211; it just closes the Currently opened site for All Students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Take a screenshot\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; this will take a screenshot of the student&#8217;s screen.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Browsing history<\/strong> &#8211; opens a new window with the browsing history of the user (during the classroom session)<\/li>\n<li><strong>View Google Drive<\/strong> &#8211; opens the Google Drive of the students ( Teacher has access only to files they already have access to)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chat<\/strong> &#8211; Send an individual chat message to the chosen student<\/li>\n<li><strong>Set lock tab<\/strong> &#8211; lock the current tab. Students will not be able to navigate to other tabs but the current one (locked one)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pin student<\/strong> &#8211; pick the selected student to be on top of the screen always<\/li>\n<li><strong>Absence note<\/strong> &#8211;
