Google simply does not allow to change ownership of files from <strong>external<\/strong> domains, as you are <strong>not the owner<\/strong> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/drive\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Google Drive files<\/a>, you cannot perform an action such as taking ownership.<\/p>\n<p>An Admin cannot change the externally owned file and transfer the ownership to a user from the local domain.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ose-youtube ose-uid-1b96d2cb4d2d09e85b0598a9787ab3e6 ose-embedpress-responsive\" style=\"width:900px; step 1 of 2<\/h4>\n<p>View additional details for the Folder copy<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Title &#8211; view the title of the Folder<\/li>\n<li>ID &#8211; view the FolderID<\/li>\n<li>Destination &#8211; where the folder will be copied into<\/li>\n<li>Owner &#8211; view who owns the folder<\/li>\n<li>Sharing flags &#8211; view sharing flags of the folder<\/li>\n<li>Flags &#8211; view any existing flags for the folder<\/li>\n<li><strong>Preserve original create date<\/strong> &#8211; enable or disable the checkmark to preserve the original create date when the copy is added to the destination user.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Copy trashed files<\/strong> &#8211; enable or disable checkmark to copy trashed files. Trashed files are not visible in the origin folder (they are not detected as well)- but may be copied and be visible in the destination folder<\/li>\n<li><strong>Externally owned files can ONLY be copied if a local user has EDIT rights to the file. Files shared &#8216;Read Only&#8217; can not be copied.
