How to remove “Anyone in domain with link” sharing on your domain<\/h2>\n

How to remove the “Anyone in domain with link<\/strong>” (Public with link) sharing from all files<\/strong> in your Google Workspace Domain.<\/p>\n

We can apply a simple filter and remove the share.<\/p>\n

Drive audit<\/h3>\n

Navigate to GAT+ > Drive\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Apply filter and search for Sharing flags <\/strong>contains Anyone in domain with link<\/strong><\/p>\n

Click on the funnel icon on the right side (3), then in the pop-up window, fill in the filter.<\/p>\n

Sharing flag contains “Anyone in domain with link” then click on the Apply button below<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> This can also be done for different sharing permissions<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Public with link<\/li>\n
  • Anyone in domain with link<\/li>\n
  • Shared out<\/li>\n

  • Anyone in domain<\/li>\n
  • Private<\/li>\n
  • Specific internal users<\/li>\n
  • Specific external users<\/li>\n
  • Shared Drive external<\/li>\n
  • Published<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Result of filter<\/h3>\n

    When the result is displayed, it will show all the files with this “Sharing flag contains Anyone in domain with link”<\/p>\n

    You will see this share on the files as “contributor, editor, commenter, etc.”<\/p>\n

    Remove shares for one file<\/h3>\n

    You can select any one file with this share and remove it for it only.<\/p>\n

    Click on the down arrow button beside the share and remove share from this file only.<\/p>\n

    Remove shares in bulk<\/h3>\n

    Click on “Remove *domain* (with link) as Contributor and Viewer from files in current filter”<\/strong><\/p>\n

    This will remove the permission from all files where the result is found – everywhere where the sharing permissions exist as Contributor or Viewer.<\/p>\n
