These third-party G Suite apps are given permission to access user data via API access which users enable once installing those apps.<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:post-content -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>GAT+ provides two different audit areas to analyze this information.<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>In\u00a0 <strong>GAT+ &gt; User &gt; Applications<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph \/-->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>You can then search for any user, group, or OU to focus on a subset of users.<\/p>\r\n<p>This will show all the <strong>Users<\/strong> &#8211; <strong>Last apps used &#8211; Installed apps<\/strong> (number)\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>For more of an in-depth look of 3rd party apps, navigate to the <strong>Applications audit<\/strong> section.<\/p>\r\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1618\" src=\"https:\/\/gatlabs.com\/knowledge\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/2021-12-20-16_28_16-Window.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1516\" height=\"562\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gatlabs.com\/knowledge\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/2021-12-20-16_28_16-Window.png 1516w, https:\/\/gatlabs.com\/knowledge\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/2021-12-20-16_28_16-Window-300x111.png 300w, https:\/\/gatlabs.com\/knowledge\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/2021-12-20-16_28_16-Window-1024x380.png 1024w, https:\/\/gatlabs.com\/knowledge\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/2021-12-20-16_28_16-Window-768x285.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1516px) 100vw, 1516px\" \/><\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:image {\"align\":\"center\",\"width\":211,\"height\":260} \/-->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:image {\"align\":\"center\",\"width\":1200,\"height\":365} -->\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><\/figure>\r\n<!-- \/wp:image -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>The Applications tab will display:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><strong>Name<\/strong> &#8211; The name of the apps installed<\/li>\r\n<li><strong> Scope<\/strong> &#8211; The scope of the application is required from your domain<\/li>\r\n<li><strong> Scope risk score<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0 where we give a score based on the permissions required from the domain (view file\/user\/email etc data)\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><strong style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Low &#8211; <\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">This is where the applications require just basic access.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><strong>Moderate<\/strong> &#8211; when the medium is where more access is required.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><strong style=\"font-size: 16px;\">High &#8211;<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"> This is where full access is required like access to drive content, email content, and directory contacts.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>User &#8211; users who have the application installed<\/li>\r\n<li>Org. Unit &#8211; users are part of the visible org. units<\/li>\r\n<li>Number of users &#8211; who have this application<\/li>\r\n<li>Since &#8211; since when the application was installed<\/li>\r\n<li>Number of <strong>policies<\/strong> applied for them<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:image {\"align\":\"center\",\"width\":751,\"height\":529} \/-->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<h2>Policies<\/h2>\r\n<p>From this page, you can search for apps under a wide range of criteria. For any given app you can set a number of policy conditions, these are for both enforcement and classification.<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>Apps can be:<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:list -->\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><strong>Banned &#8211; <\/strong>You can Ban an application for individual users by entering their email addresses or you can use Google Groups or Organisation Units to cover multiple users at once. A Ban policy will prevent in real-time the cloud-based application from gaining access to the API permission it once had. GAT+ will block the access of the Third-party app to your APIs.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Trusted &#8211; <\/strong>GAT+ checks the Ban and if there are\u00a0Trust\u00a0apps then they will be used to remove users from the\u00a0Ban. For example: If you ban an app for \/Sales team, but\u00a0trust\u00a0the app for just one user who is part of the \/Sales team, the\u00a0ban rule\u00a0will skip this account.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph \/-->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<h3>Proactive action\u00a0<\/h3>\r\n<p><b>Important:\u00a0 <\/b>Users <strong>can manually enable these permissions again once the app is launched<\/strong>. GAT+ will detect this in <strong>real-time<\/strong> and once and disable those permissions once more. \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>The Ban policy will not remove the application, it will revoke the permissions the Application requires from the domain.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph \/-->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>A single app can be both partially banned and partially trusted.
