{"id":1404,"date":"2021-12-13T19:13:58","date_gmt":"2021-12-13T19:13:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gatlabs.com\/knowledge\/?post_type=docs&#038;p=1404"},"modified":"2022-02-15T13:19:05","modified_gmt":"2022-02-15T13:19:05","password":"","slug":"delegate-google-calendar-access-to-another-user","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/gatlabs.com\/knowledge\/tech-tips\/delegate-google-calendar-access-to-another-user\/","title":{"rendered":"Delegate Google Calendar Access to Another User"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Google Calendar audit in GAT+ provides an extensive overview of every calendar created in your domain.<\/p>\n<p>Using Calendar an Admin can <strong>delegate calendar access<\/strong> to other users from the domain or external users.<\/p>\n<p>This can be done by following a few easy steps.<\/p>\n<h3>Select calendars<\/h3>\n<p>Navigate to the <strong>Calendar audit<\/strong> section from the menu on left<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-41168\" src=\"https:\/\/gatlabs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/screenshot-uk.generalaudittool.com-2020.12.10-12_06_11.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"832\" height=\"668\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Apply filter and search for the <strong>Calendar<\/strong> you want to<strong> Delegate access to\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can apply any filter to find the result you need.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-41170\" src=\"https:\/\/gatlabs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/screenshot-uk.generalaudittool.com-2020.12.10-12_31_19.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1518\" height=\"796\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Apply calendar delegation<\/h3>\n<p>When the result is found apply the delegation.<\/p>\n<p>Click the &#8220;<strong>pen<\/strong>&#8221; icon from the right side under <strong>Actions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A pop-up window will be displayed <strong>Calendar Permissions Management\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-41183\" src=\"https:\/\/gatlabs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/screenshot-uk.generalaudittool.com-2020.12.10-13_35_37.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1182\" height=\"709\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select the permission you want to grant the Delegated user.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Owners<\/strong> &#8211; Add user as the second Owner of the calendar &#8211;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Writers<\/strong> &#8211; Add user as a writer to the calendar<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reader<\/strong> &#8211; Add user as a reader to the calendar<\/li>\n<li><strong>Free\/Busy readers<\/strong> &#8211; Add user as a Free\/Busy reader<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the field <strong>Email\/Domain name<\/strong> &#8211; Enter the Email\/Domain name of the User you want to add<\/p>\n<p>Click on the <strong>Add<\/strong> button<\/p>\n<p>Click on the <strong>Save<\/strong> button<\/p>\n<h3>Result<\/h3>\n<p>As a result of the action, the calendar will be edited and an additional user will be added as <strong>Delegated user access\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the Calendar audit, you can see the selected calendar has a <strong>new Writer added<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-41184\" src=\"https:\/\/gatlabs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/screenshot-uk.generalaudittool.com-2020.12.10-13_45_57.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1176\" height=\"508\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Remove user from the calendar<\/h3>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Note:<\/strong> Primary calendar owner &#8211; <strong>Cannot be removed\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The same action can be taken to <strong>Remove<\/strong> users from the calendar.<\/p>\n<p>Find the calendar click on the &#8220;pen&#8221; (edit) icon, click on the &#8220;bin&#8221; icons beside the name you want to remove.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-41188\" src=\"https:\/\/gatlabs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/screenshot-uk.generalaudittool.com-2020.12.10-12_17_56-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1179\" height=\"742\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Google Calendar audit in GAT+ provides an extensive overview of every calendar created in your domain.
