What is GAT Unlock\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n

GAT Unlock is a Multi-Party Approval system<\/strong> that provides advanced security management for Google Workspace.<\/p>\n

It works on the principle that access to documents, or change of ownership of documents, without the owner\u2019s knowledge or permission can only be accomplished with the active input of at least two people in the organization.<\/p>\n

One of these will be the requestor who must be an Administrator, the other a Security Officer (or Verification Officer), who must be identified and verified through a senior executive in the organization.<\/p>\n

This is an extra service on top of all GAT versions and for non-education domains comes with a limited cost.\u00a0All<\/strong>\u00a0license types\u00a0must apply<\/strong>\u00a0for this service if they require it. It does not automatically install nor can it be self-configured.<\/p>\n

As a Google Super admin or a delegated auditor using GAT Unlock\u00a02.0<\/strong> \u00a0you can achieve the following:<\/p>\n

          GAT Unlock for Email<\/h1>\n

          Search for emails<\/h4>\n

          Apply filter and Find the emails you want to audit.<\/p>\n

          Emails audit<\/strong> based on a GAT+ scan.<\/p>\n

          Email Content Search<\/strong> – apply a query to\u00a0search for all the emails sent to or from a particular user on your domain<\/p>\n

          Select the emails<\/h4>\n

          Select the emails you want to view or download, by clicking on the “check-mark” beside the Email subject.<\/p>\n

          When the emails are selected click on the “Email operations<\/strong>” button and select “Create new access request<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

          A pop-up message will be displayed – Request new access<\/strong><\/p>\n

          Request access to view the contents of<\/span> the\u00a0selected N<\/span>\u00a0email(s)<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>until some date in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n

          • Request access until<\/strong> – Select the date until this request will be active<\/li>\n
          • Message<\/strong> – Leave an optional message to the Security officer<\/li>\n
          • Additional permissions – click on the checkmark to\n

              Security officer approval<\/h4>\n

              The Security officers<\/strong> receive an email notification as below.<\/p>\n

              In the Access permissions<\/strong> tab, view all the requests sent for approval.<\/p>\n

              On the right side under the Actions<\/strong> tab click to Approve <\/strong>or Deny<\/strong> the request. Click on the “eye<\/strong>” icon to view more details about the request.<\/p>\n

              When the request has been approved<\/strong> click on the Email operation<\/strong> button and then select the Access permissions list.<\/strong><\/p>\n

              This will load the previously selected emails that the request was sent for.<\/p>\n

              Access emails<\/h3>\n

              The Emails will have the options.<\/p>\n

              On the right side action on the individual<\/strong> selected email. Click on the “lock” icon and pick any of the options<\/p>\n

              • Download as EML\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
              • Show Email content\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                On the left side select the emails and take actions in bulk.\u00a0<\/strong>Click on the Email operations and select the actions you need.<\/p>\n

                • Download e-mails (EML)<\/strong> – this allows downloading in Bulk – all checked in Emails<\/li>\n
                • Download e-mails (PDF)<\/strong> – this allows downloading in Bulk – all checked in Emails<\/li>\n
                • Remove e-mails (permanent)<\/strong> – allowing emails to be removed permanently<\/li>\n
                • Remove e-mails (trash only)<\/strong>\u00a0 – allowing emails to be deleted and placed in Gmail trash\/bin folder.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                  Search for files<\/h3>\n

                  Apply filter and find the files you want to access.<\/p>\n

                  When the result is displayed select the files you want to view its content.\u00a0<\/strong>Click on the checkmark beside “Title” and select all the files from the filter, or select individual files.<\/p>\n
