This post will show you how GAT+ can generate a report of all email activity for each user. The report can be scheduled daily, weekly, or monthly and will be generated in the form of a spreadsheet that can be sorted by the desired column. The report will cover both internal and external emails.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Find emails<\/span><\/h2>\r\n
To start building this scheduled report the Admin should go to: GAT+\u00a0 then navigate\u00a0 Emails audit<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n
\r\n
Select the \u2018User statistics<\/em><\/strong>\u2019 tab<\/li>\r\n
Launch a filter<\/strong> and select the filter type ‘Stats by date range and users<\/strong>‘<\/li>\r\n
Time period – <\/em><\/strong>Date From and Date to<\/em><\/li>\r\n
User\/Group\/OU<\/em><\/strong> for the report to run against.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Schedule report<\/span><\/h2>\r\n
From there, select the \u2018Scheduled<\/em><\/strong>\u2019 button. It will open extra fields to be filled, such as \u201cEnabled<\/em><\/strong>\u201d to enable the report, then choose the \u2018Occurrence<\/em><\/strong>\u2019 in this case we select daily (Every day -After midnight), then \u2018Apply & Schedule.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/figure>\r\n
<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
For the daily report, select as a schedule<\/strong> \u2018Every day \u2013 after midnight\u2019 or choose weekly, monthly, or a custom Cron<\/strong> period.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
You may also add additional email recipients for the report.<\/p>\r\n
Result\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
The Admin will be emailed a link to the spreadsheet<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
The generated spreadsheet will display:<\/p>\r\n
\r\n
Statistics of all emails sent and received by members of the searched group\/OU.<\/li>\r\n
Stats for how many emails they have sent and received from their account whether it was sent from Email or Group they use.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n
Admin can then sort the Spreadsheet to display the number of emails sent and received, by each individual user.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n
A new spreadsheet will be created every day, to cover the previous day.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n
An example of the spreadsheet output looks like this.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/figure>\r\n

Freeze row 1 and then select any column of interest,\u00a0 finally sort the sheet based on that column in the Z to an order to bring the largest numbers to the top.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Top emails – by Email Content Search<\/span><\/h3>\r\n
There is also another way to find Top Email sender and receivers.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
In Email audit – <\/em><\/strong>select \u2018Email Content search<\/em><\/strong>\u2019, (this is a real-time Gmail search). In this example, we are searching for all emails in our domain \u201c\/\u201d including sub-OUs.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
We search for emails \u2018newer_than:2d\u2019 – Admin can use any other search parameter (examples from the same line \u2018small arrow on the right-hand side\u2019)<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Select \u2018Search emails<\/em><\/strong>\u2019 this will start a search. When the result is displayed simply click<\/strong> on the \u201cSender\/Receiver<\/em><\/strong>\u201d tab from the top bar.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Here an Admin can sort each of the fields. See top Internal and External Email senders and receivers<\/strong> on your domain. Each of the tables can be exported into a spreadsheet.<\/p>\r\n
