Teacher Assists Students Chat<\/h2>\n

The Chat feature in Teacher Assist<\/b>\u00a0enables teachers to communicate directly with students during a live virtual classroom session. Designed to maintain focus and minimize disruptions, this tool allows teachers to send private 1-on-1 messages to guide students who need extra support, or broadcast announcements to the entire class at once. Students can easily access and reply to messages from any page via the Teacher Assist browser extension, ensuring clear and structured teacher-led communication throughout the session.<\/p>\n

Chat with one student at a time<\/h3>\n

The Teacher can chat with each student individually.<\/p>\n

Select a classroom and start a session.<\/p>\n

Click on the 3 dots<\/strong> on any student and then select the “Chat” button<\/strong><\/p>\n

This will open a pop-up window where the Teacher can send a message to the chosen student.<\/p>\n

When the Teacher initiates a chat<\/strong> with a student, a pop-up window will be displayed for the Teacher.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the student, a pop-up chat message will be displayed<\/strong> at the bottom right corner on the student’s browser.<\/p>\n

The student can click on Open chat<\/strong> and reply back.<\/p>\n

The student, on whatever page they are on, will have the option to reply to the message:<\/p>\n

Click on Open chat – a pop-up window will be opened for the student on the right side where the Chat can be seen.<\/p>\n

It will be avaliable under the Teacher Assist extension (1) at any time for the Student.<\/p>\n

Access to chat<\/h4>\n

The Teacher can click on the Chat button, which will be shown on the right side. It will list all the present<\/strong> or absent students.<\/p>\n

Selecting any student will open the chat with the student\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Send announcement – Message to all students at once<\/h3>\n

The Teacher can send an announcement message to all students.<\/p>\n

Click on the 3-dot button and select the “send announcement” button.<\/p>\n

This will send a message to all students in bulk.<\/p>\n

Add the message and click on Send; the message will be sent to all active students<\/p>\n

A message will pop up and be shown for each active student.<\/p>\n

Each student can reply separately to the Teacher and start “chat” interaction with them. It would be all individual.<\/p>\n

  • Students cannot chat between themselves.<\/li>\n
  • The Teacher can send an announcement to all students in bulk.<\/li>\n
  • Students cannot start and initiate a chat with the Teacher, only reply when the Teacher starts a chat with them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
