GAT Flow<\/strong><\/a> is a User Management tool for Google Workspace<\/a> users. It allows direct access to the User accounts by the Admin of the domain.<\/p>\n

The Admin then can take action and change the user data directly within Flow.<\/p>\n

An Admin can store organization-specific information about users, such as location or employee start date, in addition to the standard information, such as employee ID and title, in a user’s profile.<\/p>\n

To store this additional information, the Admin can create custom attributes.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The Admin can Add, View, Edit<\/strong>, and Delete<\/strong> the custom attributes in the domain.<\/p>\n

Add custom attributes<\/h3>\n

Navigate to Flow > Custom attributes > Create attribute<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Manage<\/p>\n

When you click on Create attribute<\/strong> button a new window<\/strong> will be displayed.<\/p>\n

Fill in the details for the Attribute.<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Name<\/strong> – enter the name for the attribute<\/li>\n
  • Fields<\/strong> – enter the fields needed\n
      \n
    • Name<\/strong> – enter a name for the specific attribute<\/li>\n
    • Type<\/strong> – enter the type of attribute, the users have to fill in the details based on this type\n
        \n
      • Yes or No – an input field for yes or no value<\/li>\n
      • Date – an input field for date format<\/li>\n
      • Decimal number -an input field for a decimal number<\/li>\n
      • Email – an input field for an email address<\/li>\n
      • Whole number – an input field for the whole number<\/li>\n
      • Phone – an input field for phone number<\/li>\n
      • Text – an input field for a text<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • Multi-valued<\/strong> – enable or disable the multivalued field<\/li>\n
      • Read access type<\/strong> – select the read access type it can be\n
          \n
        • Only administrators and the associated user can see values<\/li>\n
        • Any user in your domain can see values<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          When ready click on the “Save<\/strong>” button.<\/p>\n

          Existing custom attributes<\/h3>\n

          The Admin can Edit<\/strong> and Delete<\/strong> the Custom Attributes from the two buttons on the right side.<\/p>\n

          Edit existing attributes<\/h4>\n

          Click on the “pen” icon button and edit each of the fields can be.<\/p>\n

            \n
          • Name<\/strong> – update\/edit the name for each field.<\/li>\n
          • Read access type<\/strong> – change the type of access to those fields<\/li>\n
          • Delete<\/strong> – click on the bin icon and delete the field<\/li>\n
          • Add new field<\/strong> – click on the button and add a new field<\/li>\n
          • Save<\/strong> – click to save the changes on the Custom attribute<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Delete existing attribute<\/h4>\n

            Click on the “X” – delete” button to delete the custom attribute.<\/p>\n

            Edit User Custom Attributes<\/h3>\n

            In Flow > Users ><\/strong> Pick the users<\/strong> (filter icon (2)<\/strong>) you want to change<\/strong> or view the Custom attributes<\/strong> to.<\/p>\n

            In the specific user click on the “pen<\/strong>” icon (3) on the right side.<\/p>\n

            A new menu will be displayed with specific user details.<\/p>\n

            Scroll down<\/strong> to the Custom Attributes table<\/strong><\/p>\n

            In the Custom Attributes<\/strong> area in the Users<\/strong> tab, the Admin can view and edit the data for the specific user.<\/strong><\/p>\n

            In this example – enter the Custom attributes for the “Employee data” field.<\/p>\n

            • Date<\/strong> – enter the start date<\/li>\n
            • Location<\/strong> – enter the location\n

              • Add value – enter additional values<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                  Result<\/h3>\n

                  In Flow, the Admin can manage the Custom Attributes for the domain.<\/p>\n
