Due to anomalies that may occur we added an advancement to our Alert Rules in GAT Shield.<\/p>\n

Now Admins\/Auditors can investigate Shield Alerts and where an instance of anomaly occurs they can mark the Shield Alert as a “false positive<\/strong><\/em>“. This will help advance the quality of alerts triggered and help us track and tackle any anomalies that may occur.<\/p>\n

To utilise this feature, navigate to your GAT Shield Alerts section.<\/p>\n

Shield Alerts<\/h3>\n

Navigate to Shield -> Alerts -> Notifications<\/strong> and inspect an alert by selecting the ‘Details<\/em><\/strong>‘ icon displayed when hovering the cursor over the right side of the record.<\/p>\n

An Alert Notification Admin\/Auditor can perform the following actions:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Acknowledge<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 the auditor can\u00a0Acknowledge<\/strong>\u00a0 the alert \u2013 marking it as \u201cacknowledged\u201d \u2013 meaning is checked and acknowledged<\/li>\n
  • Update\u00a0Severity<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 either increase or reset severity level, acknowledge the seriousness of the alert\u00a0 based on an impact it may have on your domain<\/li>\n
  • See the alert notification\u00a0Details<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 view details for the Alert notification triggered.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    When\u00a0Details<\/strong>\u00a0are selected, a new window will be displayed with all the additional details for the Alert rule<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Acknowledge<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 on the top left side you can acknowledge the Alert<\/li>\n
    • Update\u00a0Severity<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Marks this alert as either High or Low. This will be used by an algorithm later on.<\/li>\n
    • Review\u00a0Next alert<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 move on to the next alert<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • Report false positive<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 notify us about false-positive alert \u2013 click on 3 dots<\/strong> (1) and “Report false positive<\/strong>” (2)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        A new window will appear where you can add an appropriate support message to explain why the alert was identified as a “false positive” (1). To send the message to us, click Send button (2).<\/p>\n

        Alert and rule related details will be sent internally. Please leave short explanation why alert works incorrectly. We will review it as soon as possible. Describe what the expected result was.<\/p>\n
