Google Workspace Domain Audit<\/h1>\n

GAT+ provides extensive Google Drive auditing for the entire domain.<\/p>\n

Admins can apply multiple different filters to find the relevant information for any use case.<\/p>\n

See File Count on Shared Google Drive folders<\/h2>\n

As part of the Domain audit, GAT+ provides a detailed view of the domain’s entire Google Drive.<\/p>\n

Using GAT+ Admins can find all Shared Drive root folders and view the item list within.<\/p>\n

This helps admins see if the Shared folder is approaching the item limit of 400k records.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Root Shared Drive folders<\/h3>\n

Navigate to GAT+ > Drive > Shared Drive<\/strong><\/p>\n

This will show you all the Root Shared Drive Folders of the domain.<\/p>\n

Open the “Columns visibility<\/strong>” and<\/p>\n

View all Shared Drives by num of items<\/h3>\n

View the number of items for each Shared Drive folder (num items)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Select to enable<\/strong> the Num items<\/strong> field<\/p>\n

Result<\/h3>\n

As a result in the UI, a list of Num items<\/strong> will be displayed.<\/p>\n

Click<\/strong> on it to filter<\/strong> by the volume.<\/p>\n

Scheduled report<\/h3>\n

Apart from seeing the num of items for each Shared Drive folder, the Admin can also set up a scheduled report.<\/p>\n

Result of which will be noticed when num of items approaches the Google limit of 400 000 (400k) records per folder.<\/p>\n

Apply custom filter and get notified on the “Number of items” greater than 380,000 items.<\/p>\n

  • Scheduled<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Occurrence<\/strong> – set up a time when the report is to be generated<\/li>\n
    • Enabled<\/strong> – enable the Scheduled reports<\/li>\n
    • Recipients – enter the recipients for the report<\/li>\n
    • Output type – select the output type of the report<\/li>\n
    • Report columns<\/strong> – select the columns for the report\n
        \n
      • Default<\/strong> – the default chosen fields<\/li>\n
      • Custom<\/strong> – select what fields to be shown on the report<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • Custom path and filename – enter the file name of the report and where to be located<\/li>\n
      • Action for no result<\/strong> – when no results from the filter. There will be no notifications until some result is found.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        That allows us to create different partitions for different filters, using different CSV files: [num items between 300K and 350K], [num items between 350K and 380K], and so on.<\/div>\n
