A pop-up window will be displayed. Fill in the required information.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"2-toc-title\" class=\"betterdocs-content-heading\">Name &amp; Type<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Name &amp; Type<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 fill in details\n<ul>\n<li>Name \u2013 enter the name for the alert<\/li>\n<li>Type \u2013 click and from the drop-down menu shown<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong><strong>Inactive device \u2013 <\/strong><\/strong>Receive a notification when a <strong>Chrome Device stays inactive for a specified number of days<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Default severity \u2013 When the Alert Rule is triggered, a notification is created. It can be left empty if you do not want an email to be sent; however, when an alert is triggered by <strong>default will be shown<\/strong> in <strong>Alerts &gt; Notifications\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Notification interval &#8211; the time at which alerts will be triggered.<\/p>\n<h3>Summary<\/h3>\n<p>In the summary, you can view all the steps that are set up for the Alert rule for Search.<\/p>\n<p>Click on the <strong>Create<\/strong> button at the bottom right.<\/p>\n<h2>Result<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>alert will be set and triggered after a device has not been used for more than the selected time<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trigger after 30 days<\/strong>, 60 days, etc.<\/p>\n<p>An alert notification will be sent and displayed in the Notifications center in <strong>Alerts &gt; Notifications\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the details, you can see the user who &#8220;broke&#8221; the rule as well as when it happened and more.<\/p>\n<h3>FAQ<\/h3>\n<p><b>Q: What kind of alert can I set up for device activity in GAT Shield?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>A:<\/b> You can set up an &#8220;Inactive device&#8221; alert. This type of alert notifies administrators when a Chrome device remains inactive for a specific number of days that you define.<\/p>\n<p><b>Q: Can I set up multiple inactivity thresholds for a single alert rule?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>A:<\/b> Yes, you can. In the &#8220;Configuration&#8221; section of the alert rule, you can specify up to three different values for the number of days of inactivity.
