What are Tree Charts in GAT Flow, and how do they help manage users?
Tree Charts are a visual management tool that presents your Google Workspace domain in a structured, hierarchical view. Instead of looking at a flat list, Admins can view users based on criteria like Organizational Units (OUs), reporting hierarchies, cost centers, or custom attributes.

This makes management more intuitive because it allows you to:

Visualize the entire organization at a glance.

Perform actions (like editing or deleting) by clicking directly on user “nodes.”

Trigger automated workflows simply by moving a user from one part of the tree to another.

2. How do I move a user to a different Organizational Unit (OU) using this tool?
The process is designed to be “drag-and-drop” simple. To move a user:

Locate the user node within the Tree Chart.

Click and drag the account to the desired Target OU.

Once dropped, the user is moved within the domain.

Note: If you have pre-configured “Flows” (action sets) tied to that OU, moving the user on the chart can automatically trigger those background tasks, such as updating their email signature or adding them to specific groups.

3. Can I customize how the Tree Chart is organized, or is it limited to Org Units?
The tool is highly flexible. While the default view is by Organizational Unit, you can use the “Define Levels” editor to create custom structures. You can organize your view by:

Employee Information: Filtering by Department, Title, or Cost Center.

Custom Attributes: Creating a hierarchy based on specific strings or text fields unique to your company.

Reporting Hierarchy: Viewing the organization based on who reports to whom.

This allows you to switch between different “views” of your company depending on whether you are auditing by location, function, or financial department.

Flow HR GAT Flow is a user management tool that provides Google Admins with the possibility to easily manage and control the Google accounts of the domain, both singly and in bulk.
