Audit Google Workspace Organization Units with GAT+

GAT+ offers full comprehensive Google Drive auditing for Google Workspace domains. It has now an Organization Unit audit. The Google Admin can audit Google Workspace Organization Units in the domain, filter, and view them all. Filters can be applied to view users’ parts.

Step 1. #

Navigate to GAT+ > Organization Units.

The Admin can see all the Organization Units of the domain:

• Org. Unit – the name of the OU
• Description – the description of the OU
• Block inheritance – an OU inherits policies from the organizational hierarchy (more info can be found here)
• Num users – the number of users part of the OU
• Users in the sub OUs – the number of users part of the sub OUs
• Number of sub OUs – the number of the sub OUs in the OU

Step 2. #

To audit Google Workspace Organization Units, the Admin can click on each of the values in Num users, Users in sub OUs, and Number of sub OUs.

• Num users and Users in sub OU – will lead to the Users > Basic with the filter applied for users part of the OUs
• Number of sub OUs –  will open the OU audit showing the sub OUs
